Streamlined dark wood furniture pops against the white walls and polished teak flooring, striped textiles lend splashes of rusty orange or navy blue. Up the curved staircase of the main building and scattered throughout stand-alone buildings, the 100 or so rooms and suites are equally decadent, but they have a bit more of a contemporary personality than the plantation styling found in the lobby. The common spaces are images of southern plantation elegance: huge airy rooms with intricate chandeliers, French doors topped by half moon windows, dark carved antiques, fresh tropical flowers.
